Identify the course, the topic, and then, seek out a peer reviewed scholarly publication form the APUS library. Summarize the article in the context of its relevance to the book you are reading and the course topic. Where is the intersection? How does the primary research article further ideas from the book and from the course(s)? What new ideas or future research ideas do these connections spark for you?
As you learn more and dive in further to your reading, consider how the book relates to the weekly topics we cover in the lessons. Also, see if you can find current news stories related to your book topic.
