Final Paper (30%, 1500 words): This short paper is a brief reflection on one specific research question. This short essay should be based on research and readings of critical debates on the issue; and they have to be analytical, focused, and not descriiptive. This paper will help students to engage critically and creatively with the topic that they will present.
So you might for example discuss how one of the different theories studied in this course—such as World Literature, Comparative Cultural Studies, Orientalism, and Post-colonialism—have shaped your understanding of the meaning and context of Comparative Literature. In your response, analyze how this theory provides frameworks for examining texts across cultures, and consider how they address issues such as power dynamics, representation, and the global circulation of literature. Use specific examples from any literary texts you read before and any other theories discussed in class to illustrate your points.
You need to use at least 5-6 sources you can bring outside sources or just use the ones from the course materials. (you can add more but this is the minimum) for this paper including the primary sources(s). You need to use MLA style in citations.
