For this assignment, identify a specific parenting behavior, practice, or decision. Then, create a brief PowerPoint presentation on how what you’ve identified could impact a child’s physical, cognitive, social, and/or moral development. You might consider specific topics related to: Technology use (i.e., screen time, cell phones, distracted parenting) A disciplinary practice (i.e., time-out, spanking, reward systems) An educational decision (i.e., home school, public school, private school) A health behavior (i.e., exercise, well-child health visits, nutrition, sex education) You are not limited to these examples, so feel free to choose something other than what is listed here. However, it does need to be related to parenting and childhood. Please note that some topics will have more research and information than others, so you might need to look beyond the textbook and find some peer-reviewed journal articles for additional information. Your presentation needs to include: A title slide with your name and the topic you have chosen to address in the presentation. At least one slide that gives background information about the parenting behavior/practice/decision you have chosen to address. At least one slide that addresses the potential outcomes this parenting behavior/practice/decision has on childhood development.
