Instructions:
Create a detailed “mind map” using the following format. Also see sample mind map Download sample mind map.
In the center of your page, place your profession. The “profession” or “job” you refer to in this assignment, should be the same one you chose for your course project. This is the key/central idea in which you will add all the ideas related to it. You only need one word or a phrase for this.
Next, branch out from the main idea with the areas of environmental or administrative law that are encountered in your profession. (see the example mind map Download example mind map to see how it should be structured)
From the areas of environmental or administrative law, branch out further with the theories, concepts, or principles that are implicated in those areas.
Notice the similarities or connections between ideas, highlight these by drawing a line between them, or use a dotted line if the connections only sometimes applies. Be creative with your connections.
Save your mind map as an image on your device.
If using PowerPoint, save your file as a JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png) so that it can be uploaded to your Google Site. If using diagrams.net, save to your device as an “editable bitmap image”.
On the Google site, select “insert”, then “images”, then “upload” in order to place your Venn diagram.
If you find your diagram cropped/cut off by the site, click on the image and then select “uncrop” in the toolbar that pops up.
In 250-500 words, explain your mind map, especially focusing on explaining the connections between ideas. Some questions you can consider when answering:
How are these connected?
Why do you think they are connected?
Do they overlap with other environmental or administrative laws in your profession? If so, which ones? If not, do you think they should and why?
Next, consider the areas of administrative and environmental law that you examined for the concept map. What do you think are the best practices for developing policy in those areas? Be sure to include the relevant ethical theories that would inform this policy development. This should be 500-1000 words. Cite any sources in APA style format and include a reference page. This portion should be double-spaced, 12 pt., Times New Roman, with no excessive spacing.
Finally, prepare the corresponding webpage presenting the mind map and written recommendation for developing ethical policy. This page is:
Environmental and Administrative Laws
Please include 1-2 elements(such as images, interactives, graphs, tables, illustrations, relevant pictures etc.)you feel would be helpful to engage and inspire your colleagues. Be sure the elements you are including are relevant to the content you are placing on the page. Remember that this website is supposed to be an ethics training program for your new colleagues, so use language and formatting appropriate to this task.
Also see this guide on using the website template.
Submit your mind map and the written portions of this assignment as a document with your website URL at the top.
