The student shall develop a formal written lesson plan for a 10 to 15 minute lesson about an urban ecology topic of their choice. Each lesson plan shall be about a different urban ecology topic and shall be developed for a different age group. The lesson plans shall include a detailed descriiption of the lesson content, teaching strategies to be used, intended audience, learning outcomes, sequence of activities, learning setting, materials and supplies required, time use/allocation, strategies to be used to assess learning, and Illinois state learning standards that are addressed. The student shall incorporate and properly cite at least four relevant key concepts and/or theories from resources discussed throughout the course. Relevant NACE Career Readiness Competencies – 1, 2, 4, 5, 6,7, and 8.
