Lab 1: Setting Up Eclipse
We will be using Eclipse to create our Java programs this semester. Eclipse is a free, open source Java IDE (integrated development environment) that is both very easy to use and commonly used in the software development industry.
For this lab, please follow the instructions in the videos below to set up Eclipse and learn how to create new projects and files.
For your submission, create a Java project in Eclipse called “Lab1”, and then inside of that project create a Java class file using your own name. The Java file does not need to contain any code. Submit a screenshot of the package explorer window for your project showing both the name of the project and the name of the file.
