Each student will choose a psychological disorder that has piqued their interest during the course and create an educational pamphlet about the disorder that could be utilized to teach a patient or family member about the disorder. Within the pamphlet the student will discuss the following:
Overview information of the disorder: including a descriiption of the disorder and symptoms with references. (23 points possible for this section)
Discussion of evidence based pharmacological treatments, including potential side effects with references. (23 points possible for this section)
Discussion of evidence based psychotherapeutic treatments of the disorder with references. (23 points possible for this section)
Discussion of evidence-based alternative treatments of the disorder with references. (23 points possible for this section)
This must be your own work, please do not copy and paste information from lecture power points. You may utilize the textbook, pocket guide, and other evidence based references you find helpful. All sources must be cited on the back of your pamphlet in APA format and also cited in the information you provide for each section. Must include a minimum of 5 resources. One resource may be a website, all other 4 resources must be a book or evidence based research articles. The overall aesthetic of the pamphlet must show effort and be organized.
