One of the biggest critical thinking skills to be able to master is the ability to think before your speak or communicate. Especially on the job.
For this assignment, you will create a communication cartoon between yourself (the employee) and your boss or supervisor. The communication can be about any topic you wish and could have taken place in person, on the phone, via email, or any another type of interaction. However, the only requirement is that the communication should now have you reflecting that you wish the conversation went a little bit differently then it actually did.
The media you choose to create your communication cartoon is up to you. Some options are to create a PowToon, make a sketch note on an iPad/tablet, hand draw it, create the cartoon in Google Slides. These are just a few options, but the choice of how you deliver the cartoon is up to you as long as it can be linked to, embedded, or attached to the discussion forum.
After you have created your cartoon of the communication, please write a paragraph indicating:
What exactly do you wish went differently?
What critical thinking skills were successfully present during the conversation? Indicate this for both the employee (yourself) and your supervisor/boss.
What would you have said differently? What would you have liked your boss to have said differently?
What will you do next time to ensure better communication between yourself and your boss?
