To do the Works Cited/ References page: Include the author (last name and initials), date (year only), title of the article (capitalize only the first letter of the title and any proper nouns), title of the magazine (periodical) in italics, volume (italic), issue in parentheses, and page numbers. If in a book: Include the author, date, title, city of publication, state of publication (abbreviation like AL for Alabama or if a country other than USA write out), publisher, and page numbers. If a website: Include the author, date, title of the article, title of periodical (just like for a magazine) or title of the site if it isn’t actually an article, date retrieved, and the entire website address.
