Structure:
Each essay question will have a minimum response of 800 words, double spaced, and 10 or 12 letter font sizes only.
The essay needs to include a title, a strong thesis, and at least five quotes with correct page number(s) from the class textbook.
Please include the title for your paper only at the top of the page and start writing your essay. No other information such as names or dates is required.
Grading:
The essay will be evaluated based on a criterion that includes grammar and spelling, logic and organization, and the use of course content.
A complete essay that includes the 800 minimum words, has at least five quotes correctly cited from the textbook, includes a proper title, and grammar and spelling mistakes are kept to a minimum will receive 22 to 25 points maximum at the teacher’s discretion.
Incomplete essays that fail to reach the minimum 800 words will be graded as an incomplete assignment and be scored between one and twenty-one points only at the teacher’s discretion.
Essays that fail to include the required five quotes or forget to include the proper textbook page number(s) on their quotes, will be deducted two to three points for every quote less than five they fail to include or wrote incomplete.
Pre-requisite: Chapter 8 of the class textbook.
