The next step to developing your self-management plan is to identify and address potential mistakes, clearly state all rules for your plan, and then publish your behavioral contract. Please upload the following in a Word document.
First, what will you do when you make a mistake (e.g., recording error, treatment administration error)? Be sure to list both the mistake and plan to deal with it. Do not use punishment to deal with a mistake as these can be innocent and not linked to temptations.
Next, write the rules for your plan. Please follow the guidelines at the end of section 12.4. In the end, you should have at least 20 rules. State all rules that are relevant to your plan as follows:
State any rules related to your behavioral definition.
State any rules necessary in relation to your goals. Do you have a timetable you would like to complete your plan by? If so, state it.
State any rules necessary in relation to your recording method and data collection. You could state a rule in relation to evaluating your progress.
State any rules necessary in relation to the strategies you have selected. There will be several here and a large group of them will involve the token economy which recall is a consequence-focused strategy.
State any rules necessary in relation to your temptations and mistakes. These should be in if-then format. Note that some related to temptations could be under strategies instead.
Finally, using the information from this module and the example provided, write your behavioral contract. Be sure to include any relevant information. This contract should be no less than one page.
