The grading rubric for this patient-teaching trifold pamphlet must include:
1. Pamphlet
Develops a trifold pamphlet for the patient. (Adult teaching material should be at 8th grade reading level). Pamphlet should be creative, easy for patient to understand and include all required information listed in rubric.
2. Objectives
State at least 3 objectives the patient should know by the end of the teaching presentation.
3. Medication Information
Describes the drug classification and therapeutic actions of the drug based on the disease treated.
Correlated medication to the diseases treated by the medication.
4. Adverse Effects
Include the adverse effects of the medication
5. Side Effects
Include the side effects of the medication.
6. Patient Teaching
Include minimum of 5 patient teaching instructions with the drug.
7. Nursing Interventions
Include minimum of 5 priority nursing interventions when administering medications within this classification.
8. Article & References
Provide at least one nursing journal article less than 5 years old. A link will not meet this criterion, submission must include entire article.
References need to include at least one course textbook (Ricci, S., Kyle, T., & Carman, S. (2020). Maternity & Pediatric (4th edition)
References should be listed on the pamphlet in APA format
